coelila asked: Completely curious (and you can tell me if I am overstepping any boundaries) but as an atheist, what do you consider the purpose of life is? Those with religion believe in life after death and spending life bettering the soul. What is life's purpose to you if you do not believe in a god? I hope I phrased that clearly enough to make sense!
Ehh I don’t really like talking publicly about religion (or lack thereof) in anything but a literary sense just because people can get REALLY touchy about faith for totally understandable reasons (I personally don’t care what anyone else believes so long as anyone’s beliefs aren’t harming anyone else) but since you asked so nicely - I don’t think life has any intrinsic purpose. We create our own meaning.
Completely unironically, here’s an Angel quote that kind of sums up my personal life philosophy:
If there’s no great glorious end to all this, if nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do. ‘Cause that’s all there is. What we do. Now. Today. […] If there’s no bigger meaning, then the smallest act of kindness is the greatest thing in the world.
